Camping Gletscherdorf
The picturesque campground is located 15 km from the highway exit for Interlaken. The roads can easily accommodate caravans and mobilhomes.
Camping Gletscherdorf has well-maintained campsites for caravans, mobilhomes, and tents of all sizes. There is a Kiosk (small shop where you can purchase food and beverages as well as basic necessities on-site.
The campground is managed by Werner & Heidi Schafroth, a dynamic couple, who are more than happy to assist you with any queries and look forward to your visit.
The location is truly ideal, providing endless possibilities for sporting activities: hiking, skiing, and mountain climbing to name a few.
In the Summer
- Hike in one of the most beautiful alpine regions in the world. There are around 300 km of marked trails that range from gently sloping walks to steep hikes. Breathtaking views are accessible to all with many ridge walks easily reached by gondola or by train.
- For mountain climbers, the possibilities seem endless with a wide range of challenges as well as the possibility of guided tours. The 4109 metre-high Mönch, for example, is one of the easiest 4000 metre peaks in the Bernese Alps and is relatively easy to access from the Jungfraujoch.
- Take in the astounding views of the Jungfrau Region on your bike. Over 160 km marked trails are available for all levels.
In the Winter
- Ski or carve over 200 km of groomed trails accessible via 44 lifts. Trails back down to the village are 6 to 12 km long.
- 80 km of scenic winter hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing (direct trail access from the campground).
- Great downhill sledding trails – fun for the whole family.
